Accessibility at Grand Adventures
Travel should be welcoming, respectful, and accessible.
At Grand Adventures, I believe everyone deserves to explore the world with dignity, safety, and support. Accessibility isn’t an afterthought here: it’s part of how I plan, communicate, and care for my clients.
I work collaboratively with travellers to understand their needs and design trips that feel supportive, flexible, and empowering.
What Accessibility Means Here
Accessibility looks different for everyone. I welcome conversations about:
- Mobility needs (including step-free access, walking limits, and pace)
- Neurodivergence and sensory considerations
- Chronic illness, fatigue, or energy management
- Dietary needs and allergies (plant-based and allergen-aware by default)
- Hearing, vision, or communication preferences
- Invisible disabilities and fluctuating access needs
There is no “one-size-fits-all” traveller, and there doesn’t need to be.
You never need to justify or explain your needs beyond what you’re comfortable sharing.
Invisible Disabilities & the Sunflower Lanyard
You may see me wearing a sunflower lanyard in some of my photos. This symbol represents invisible disabilities and signals that extra patience, understanding, or flexibility may be needed.
I share this intentionally.
Accessibility isn’t always visible, and neither are the ways people experience travel. My goal is to create space where travellers feel safe sharing what they need, without fear of judgment or dismissal.
How I Support Accessible Travel Planning
While every trip is different, accessibility support may include:
- Researching accommodations with realistic accessibility features
- Thoughtful itinerary pacing and rest-aware planning
- Clear, detailed itineraries to reduce cognitive load
- Transparent communication about terrain, transit, and activity demands
- Proactive coordination with hotels, tour operators, and partners
- Honest guidance when something isn’t a good fit, and alternatives that are
If something won’t work, I’ll tell you plainly. Then we’ll find a better option.
Let’s Talk About Your Needs
The best trips start with honest conversations.
If you have access needs, accommodations you rely on, or concerns you’d like to discuss, you’re welcome to share them during your consultation or privately, in whatever way feels safest for you.
You deserve a trip that works with you, not against you.
