Land Acknowledgement
Grand Adventures acknowledges that our work and travels primarily take place on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Neutral Peoples.
We are based on the Haldimand Tract, land granted to the Haudenosaunee of the Six Nations of the Grand River, which spans six miles on either side of the Grand River.
As a travel professional, I recognize the deep connections Indigenous communities have to these lands, waters, and cultures. I am committed to promoting responsible tourism that respects Indigenous sovereignty, supports Indigenous-owned businesses, and uplifts local communities.
Travel is a powerful tool for education and connection. I encourage all travellers to learn about the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous Peoples in the places they visit. By doing so, we can foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the lands we explore.
For more information on Indigenous history and ways to travel ethically on these lands, I encourage you to visit https://www.sixnationstourism.ca/ and https://www.whose.land/en/
